HWH Slide Room Help & Diagnostics
RV Slide Rooms, or "Slide-Outs", are a combination of the actual box built by the OEM/RV Manufacturer, the power movement system, and the mechanism that the room mounts to & moves the room in/out. HWH manufactures the power movement system (hydraulic cylinder/pump/motor/tank, and sometimes the room movement mechanism & controls. Most times, the same HWH power unit (motor/pump/tank/manifold) is used for both the leveling jacks & the slide-outs.
There are MANY variations of slide-out mechanisms that HWH have produced through the years, so stocking all of the various replacement parts is not something we do, outside of a few slide & synchronization cylinders. We do stock many of the preventative maintenance & more common replaceable parts such as Solenoid Valves, Bearing Pads, check valves, & O-Rings.
Most often, there is very little adjustments that can be made to a slide-out that uses HWH hydraulic cylinders & mechanisms. Unfortunately, if your room sits/rides on rollers, or is on a 'tube' or 'rail' type system, your coach manufacturer would need to assist with any possible adjustments or repairs.
For those HWH slide-outs with some adjustment capability, the best place to start is on the HWH site to better understand the type of room you have on your coach:
If you are unable to determine which style Slide-Out you have, another good method is to find a HWH label (example of label from underneath the bed slide-out mechanism) with marked model/part number. That PN in addition to year/make/model of your coach, we can help determine what system you have & what can be done to repair or replace parts.
Finally, our friend Kevin Caudill, has some really great HWH Slide-Out videos that may help you in your quest to repair your coach.
